Rules for private jet passengers

ID, passports, baggage limits and the operator's final authority on safety for every private jet charter booked on Pickup.

Every private jet on Pickup is chartered from an operator that holds an NCAA Air Operator Certificate. The aircraft must be listed on that operator's operations specifications. Aircraft only permitted for private, non commercial flight are never listed. Crew are licensed, and the operator provides cover that meets the Montreal Convention.

Identification

Every passenger must carry valid photo identification, including children where the operator or airport requires it.

  • Add every passenger to the passenger manifest by name before the flight.
  • Names on the manifest must match the ID each passenger presents.
  • For international flights, each passenger needs a passport valid for at least 6 months after the flight and any visas or entry documents for the destination.

A passenger without valid ID may be refused boarding.

Baggage

Private aircraft have strict weight and space limits.

  1. Tell your operator the number and size of bags when you book.
  2. Declare any unusual items, such as sports equipment, instruments or pets, in advance.
  3. Expect bags to be weighed and checked before loading.

The operator will tell you what can be carried. Dangerous goods are not permitted.

The operator's final authority

The operator and the pilot in command have final authority over every flight. They can:

  • Delay, divert or cancel a flight for weather, technical or safety reasons.
  • Refuse to carry a passenger, item or bag that affects safety or legal compliance.
  • Change timings on air traffic control or airport instruction.

These decisions are not open to negotiation on the day. If a flight is stopped for weather, air traffic control or an NCAA directive, you get a refund of the total price, less a fair amount for any part already delivered. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

On the day

  • Arrive at the private terminal by the time in your trip pack.
  • Follow crew instructions throughout.
  • NCAA and aviation security screening applies to every passenger and bag on every jet segment, with no exceptions.

The full rules are in the Major Disruptive Events Policy and Passenger Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk.
