Duration limits stop guests booking trips that do not work for you. A one hour booking may not be worth moving a yacht from its jetty. A three week booking may tie up a car you need elsewhere.
The two limits
- Hours on a by the hour trip. The shortest and longest hourly booking you accept, set on that trip's price.
- Longest booking. The longest booking you accept on the listing, set in your calendar.
Guests cannot book outside these limits.
Set your limits
- Open Listings and choose the listing.
- Tap Services and prices (Trip types and prices for boats), then By the hour.
- Set the fewest and most hours.
- Tap Save.
- For the longest booking, open the Calendar tab, choose the listing, tap the gear, then Longest booking.
Choosing sensible limits
Cars. Think about travel time to the pickup point and how much of the day a short booking blocks. A chauffeur may drive no more than 10.5 hours in any 24, so Long days on your listing has its own limit.
Vessels. Boat trips run in daylight only. Set a maximum that fits inside daylight for a single day, and make sure your minimum covers safe boarding and return to the jetty.
Aircraft. Charter is priced per flight hour or per passenger. Set limits that match how your operations specifications let you fly.
Longer bookings and discounts
If you accept longer bookings, consider adding Longer-trip prices or a Long trips discount to attract them. See Offering discounts.
Extensions
A guest on an active trip can ask to extend it. You can accept or decline. An extension cannot take a boat trip past daylight, or a chauffeur past the driving limit. See Handling trip extensions.
