You enter what you want to earn. The app works out the price guests see. Your listing editor shows You earn ₦X · Guests see ₦Y, so you always know both numbers.
On your listing
Guests see one all in price from the first screen. It includes Pickup's service fee, the VAT on that fee and any road levy. There is no surge pricing.
At checkout
Checkout breaks the same total down, in this order:
- Trip price. For their dates and duration, after any discount, with each extra as its own line.
- Service fee. Pickup's service fee, paid by the guest. Shown as an amount.
- VAT on service fee.
- Road levy. Car trips only. See the Lagos road levy.
- Total. The amount they pay. It matches the listing price for the same trip details.
Guests can view prices in their own currency, but they always pay in naira.
What you receive
Your payout: the amount you set, released 1 hour after the trip ends, as set out in How payouts work. None of the guest's fees come out of it. Your monthly statement shows the commission. See Commission and fees.
Keep your price honest
- Put every cost of the service in your payout or a listed extra.
- Never ask a guest for cash, a tip or payment outside Pickup. There is no tipping in the app.
- Never add charges after the trip that the guest did not agree to in the app.
Payments outside the app have no record on Pickup and may break the Operator Agreement.
If a guest questions the price
Point them to the price breakdown on their booking. If something is wrong, contact operator support through the app. See Contacting operator support.
