Updated 2 November 2026 · 8 min read
Version 3.0. Effective 2 November 2026.
In short
- Use Pickup to book, provide and manage chauffeur driven, crewed and chartered trips. Nothing else.
- No fraud, no fake accounts, no shared sign in codes, no scraping, no bots, no hacking, no reverse engineering, no moving bookings or payments off the Platform.
- Found a security flaw? Tell us privately at security@pickupcharter.com.
- Breaking this policy can lead to suspension or closure of your account, and we report crime.
This summary is for convenience only. The numbered clauses below govern.
1. Scope
1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to everyone who accesses the Pickup Charter website, apps, application programming interfaces or related services (the "Platform"), operated by Pickup Technology Limited (RC 9548096) ("Pickup", "we"). This includes Guests, corporate clients, Operators, Authorised Crew, affiliates and visitors ("you").
1.2 It forms part of the Terms of Use, the Guest Terms, Operator Agreement, Crew Terms, Corporate Terms and Affiliate Terms. Capitalised words have the meaning given in the Guest Terms, and "Authorised Crew" has the meaning given in the Operator Agreement.
1.3 If you help, instruct or allow someone else to do something this Policy prohibits, you are treated as having done it yourself.
2. Permitted use
You may use the Platform only to discover, book, provide, manage and review chauffeur driven, crewed and chartered Charter Services, and for purposes reasonably connected with them, in line with the terms that apply to you and Applicable Law.
3. Prohibited use
You must not, and must not attempt or help anyone else to:
3.1 Break the law. Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, trafficking of people or goods, carrying weapons or prohibited items in breach of the Weapons and Prohibited Items Policy, or evading sanctions.
3.2 Misrepresent yourself. Open an Account in a false name or someone else's name, hold more than one personal Account, impersonate anyone (including Pickup staff, an Operator or a public official), misstate an affiliation, or give false information in registration, Verification, a Booking, a passenger manifest, a review, a report or a dispute.
3.3 Misuse identity checks. Submit a forged, altered, borrowed, synthetic or someone else's document or face for Verification, use a photo, video, mask or software to defeat the live facial check, or help anyone else pass Verification they could not pass themselves.
3.4 Share or take over Accounts. Share your sign in codes or Account, sell, lend or transfer an Account, sign in to someone else's Account, or trick anyone into giving you a sign in code. Pickup staff, Operators and crew never ask for codes.
3.5 Go off platform. Arrange, pay for or accept payment for a trip with someone you met through the Platform outside the Platform, ask for or offer payment by direct bank transfer, cash, crypto asset or any other channel not provided by the Platform, or share contact details to do so, as the Off Platform Booking Policy describes.
3.6 Offer what Pickup does not. List, request or arrange a car without its chauffeur, street hails, police escorts, armed security, boat trips outside daylight hours (departure after sunrise and return before sunset), carriage above certified capacity, or flights on aircraft not permitted for commercial charter under an Air Operator's Certificate.
3.7 Abuse payments. Use a stolen or unauthorised payment method, test cards, split a payment to get around a card limit or a check, raise a chargeback in bad faith, misuse the refund or dispute process, or make a claim you know is false.
3.8 Abuse promotions. Obtain referral, promotional or affiliate benefits through fake accounts, self referral, collusion or any other abuse, as the Referral Terms and Affiliate Terms describe.
3.9 Manipulate reviews or ranking. Post fake, paid or incentivised reviews, review yourself or a connected business, or try to manipulate search ranking or Charter Elite status. See the Reviews & Ratings Policy.
3.10 Harm people. Use the Platform or its messaging to harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, discriminate against or exploit anyone, or to collect, share or misuse another person's personal data (including a phone number or live location shared for a trip) without lawful authority or beyond the trip it was shared for.
3.11 Attack the Platform. Gain or attempt unauthorised access to the Platform, any Account or any connected system; intercept communications; probe, scan or test vulnerabilities except as clause 6 allows; introduce malware; overload, flood or disrupt the Platform, including by denial of service; or bypass any security measure, bot protection, rate limit, geographic restriction or access control.
3.12 Use automation. Use bots, scripts, crawlers, headless browsers, automated agents or other automated means to access the Platform, create Accounts, search, book, hold dates, send messages or collect data, except (a) search engines that follow our robots.txt file, for the public website only, and (b) tools we have agreed in writing. A person may use accessibility software to use the Platform.
3.13 Extract data. Scrape, crawl, harvest or copy Listings, prices, availability, reviews, images, user details or other data from the Platform by automated or manual means, or use Platform data to build, train or operate a competing product, price comparison service, dataset or artificial intelligence model.
3.14 Copy the Platform. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify the Apps or any part of the Platform, or access its interfaces other than through the Apps and website we provide, except to the extent the law permits despite this restriction; frame, mirror or republish it; or remove any proprietary notice.
3.15 Misuse our brand. Use the Pickup, Pickup Charter or Charter Elite names or logos except as the Intellectual Property policy or a written agreement permits, or register confusingly similar names, domains or handles.
3.16 Send spam. Use the Platform to advertise, solicit or send unsolicited or bulk messages.
3.17 Defeat safety controls. Record a trip as started or ended when it is not, interfere with live trip tracking, falsify a trip record, or misrepresent who is travelling, driving, sailing or flying.
4. Content and third party services
What you post, upload or send on the Platform must meet the Content Policy. Features provided by others inside the Platform, such as maps, payments and sign in with Apple or Google, are also subject to the Third Party Services Terms, and you must not misuse them.
5. The law on computer misuse
Much of the conduct in clauses 3.3, 3.4, 3.7 and 3.11 to 3.14, such as unauthorised access to a computer system, interception, system interference, computer related forgery and fraud, identity theft and impersonation, and cyberstalking, may also be an offence under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, as amended by the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) (Amendment) Act 2024, and under similar laws in other countries.
6. Security research
6.1 If you find a security vulnerability, report it privately to security@pickupcharter.com with enough detail for us to reproduce it. Give us a reasonable time to fix it before you tell anyone else.
6.2 While testing, you must: test only against your own Account or an Account you have permission to use; not access, change, delete or keep data that is not yours (stop and tell us if you reach any); not disrupt the Platform or degrade it for others; not use social engineering, phishing or physical attacks; and not run automated scanning at a volume that affects the Platform.
6.3 If you act in good faith and follow clauses 6.1 and 6.2 and the law, we treat your research as authorised by us, we do not bring a civil claim against you for it, and we do not report it to the authorities as a complaint. We acknowledge your report within 2 business days. This promise binds Pickup only: it cannot bind the police, a prosecutor or any third party, and it does not authorise testing of a third party's systems. Pickup does not pay rewards for reports.
7. Enforcement
7.1 We may investigate any suspected breach and, acting reasonably and proportionately and under the Account Suspension and Removal policy, may block automated traffic, remove content, cancel Bookings, withhold or reverse credit or payouts to the extent the relevant terms allow, suspend or restrict an Account, or close it.
7.2 We may report suspected crime to the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit or other competent authorities, and cooperate with them, as the Privacy Policy and Law Enforcement Requests policy describe.
7.3 You can appeal any action we take within 30 days of being told of it, in the app or at support@pickupcharter.com. A person who was not involved in the first decision decides the appeal within 14 days, as the Account Suspension and Removal policy describes.
7.4 You are responsible for loss caused by your breach of this Policy, as the indemnity in the terms that apply to you provides. We may also seek an injunction or other court order to stop a breach, in addition to any dispute process in those terms.
8. Reporting misuse
Report misuse in the app, or to support@pickupcharter.com. Report security issues to security@pickupcharter.com. In an emergency, call 112 first.
9. Changes and law
9.1 We may update this Policy under the change provisions of the terms that apply to you. If you only browse the Platform without an Account, the version published when you use it applies.
9.2 This Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are resolved as the Terms of Use set out.
