You pay for every trip in the Pickup app, before the trip starts. Payments are processed by Flutterwave, a licensed payment provider. There is no extra charge for either a card or a bank transfer.
Accepted methods
- Debit and credit cards. Visa, Mastercard and Verve. A single card payment is capped at ₦5,000,000. You enter your details on Flutterwave's secure payment page, and Pickup never sees your card number.
- Bank transfer. Always available at checkout, from any Nigerian bank app. You get an account for that booking only. It closes in 30 minutes, so send the exact amount in one transfer. We confirm it automatically. Anything above the card limit is paid this way. See Paying for a private jet charter.
- Wallet credit. Credit in your Pickup wallet, such as referral credit, can pay for up to 50% of the trip price. See Wallet credit and saved cards.
Pickup never asks for your card PIN, and you should never share it.
Add a card
- Go to Profile and open Wallet and payments.
- Tap Add a card.
- Enter the card number, expiry date and CVV on the secure payment page. A small amount is charged to check your card, and it is refunded straight away.
You can also use a new card at checkout by choosing Use a new card.
Choose a card at checkout
- At checkout, tap Pay with.
- Choose Debit or credit card or Bank transfer.
- Select a saved card or Use a new card.
- Tap the Pay button to confirm.
Remove a card
Open Wallet and payments, select the card and tap Remove card.
Always pay in the app
Paying through Pickup means your payment reaches the operator on a fixed schedule after your trip. Refunds and disputes are only handled for trips paid in the app. Never pay an operator or chauffeur directly. See Why you should always pay through Pickup.
The full rules are in the Payments Terms and Promotional Credit Terms.
