Every car, vessel and aircraft on Pickup has a maximum number of guests and a practical luggage limit. These limits exist for safety and, on the water and in the air, for regulation.
Passengers
- Book the number of people who will actually travel, when you search.
- Your operator may refuse to carry extra guests beyond the listed capacity. This is not negotiable on the day.
- Children count as passengers. If you need a child seat, choose it under Extras at checkout where the listing offers one, or ask your operator in Messages before booking.
- On boats and jets, infants count toward the limit too.
- On vessels, every guest must have a life jacket and wear it at all times.
- On aircraft, every passenger must be named and carry valid ID. See Rules for private jet passengers.
Luggage
- Check the listing for seats and large bags before you book.
- Tell your operator about large, heavy or unusual items in advance, such as golf bags, instruments or equipment.
- Aircraft baggage limits depend on the aircraft's weight and balance. The operator and pilot in command decide what can be carried.
- Anything that cannot be loaded safely may be left behind.
For airport trips, see Choosing a car for your luggage.
If your numbers change
- Open Trips and select your trip.
- Tap Change reservation, then Change guests.
- If the new number exceeds capacity, choose a larger listing instead.
