Check promptly, keep the item safe, and arrange its return through the app.

When a guest reports a lost item

  1. Check the vehicle, vessel or aircraft as soon as you can.
  2. Reply in the app to say whether you found it.
  3. Keep anything you find safe for at least 30 days.
  4. Agree a return with the guest in the app. They can collect it or ask for a courier, arranged and paid in the app.

When you find something no one has reported

  1. Open the completed booking and tap the help icon.
  2. Tap A guest left something behind.
  3. Say what you found and where, and send it. We tell the guest straight away.

Valuables and anything suspicious

Items of value, or anything that may be evidence of a crime, must be handed to the police where the law requires. Tell Pickup if you do.

Never

  • Ask for a reward or payment outside the app.
  • Open locked bags or devices, or list card or ID numbers.
  • Throw away an item within the 30 days.

The rules are in the Operator Agreement.
